What Is eNPS?

Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is a simple, standardized metric for measuring employee loyalty. It asks one question: "On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend this company as a place to work?" Responses classify employees as Promoters, Passives, or Detractors.

How to Calculate eNPS

Formula:

eNPS = (% Promoters − % Detractors)

On a 0-10 scale: Detractors (0-6), Passives (7-8), Promoters (9-10). On a 0-5 scale: Detractors (0-3), Passives (4), Promoters (5).

Interpreting Your Score

  • 50+: Excellent — strong loyalty culture
  • 10-49: Good — room to improve
  • 0-9: Needs improvement
  • Below 0: Critical — urgent action needed
